Unity can add motion to your GameObjects in your scene by utilizing Animation clips, which are edited in the Animation Panel and controlled by the Animator panel. You will create animation clips to be applied to the Prefabs in your scene. You will then assign an animation clip to a Prefab and using the Animator panel, add and adjust keyframe values to control GameObject transforms over time. Virtually any GameObject parameter can be animated and we will focus on rotating the pickup Prefab and learn how to smoothly loop the motion.
Other Animation clips will be created and will be controlled using a node methodology inside the Animator Panel. You will animate the hovercraft Prefab and adjust its timing by creating clips in the Timeline panel. Learn how Animation is a critical aspect of game development and helps to bring life to objects as simple as a pickup element to a fully functional character.
