Requesting data for a spreadsheet can be confusing for end users and even dangerous for data integrity. What if a user accidentally overwrites a value in a cell? Are there columns not relevant to all users? Where should the user enter new data, at the top or bottom? Smartsheet forms allow users to enter new rows into a sheet in a structured, guided manner that you design. Furthermore, users do not have to even be shared to the sheet to add new rows.
In this module you will learn how to create a form in Smartsheet and leverage conditional logic to present only fields that are relevant to the end user. Other form settings will be explored such as form and field settings and how to customize the form and brand it for your organization. Not only can fields be hidden or shown to the user based on relevance, but fields that are required can be enforced to ensure that users at least enter in the minimum amount of data required.

No. Smartsheet forms allow users to enter new rows without being shared to the underlying sheet.
Conditional logic lets you show or hide fields based on their relevance to the end user, so users only see the fields that apply to them.
Yes. Fields can be set as required, which enforces that users enter at least the minimum amount of data needed.
The lessons cover Creating a Form, Form Styling and Settings, Managing Form Fields and Elements, Field Settings, Conditional Logic in Forms, and Sharing Forms.
