By exploring Maya’s FX menu, these lessons will introduce you to additional effects and simulations. To begin, we will go over creating fireworks effects. Since this effect doesn’t render in Arnold, we will walk through how to render it with the default Maya Software Renderer, located in Render Settings. You will see how you can adjust the settings in the channel box to modify the simulation and gain your desired results.

In these lessons, you will explore Mel and Python scripting using the Script Editor in Maya 2022. We will go over combining Maya’s Bullet, a hard surface simulator for physics, with a Bifrost simulation. By combining these two, we will explore some interesting and dynamic effects you can add to your animations. We will also look at Bifrost fluid simulation by demonstrating pouring a liquid mesh from a cup into a bowl. You will learn how to adjust the setting to create a realistic simulation of water. Finally, we will create a Playblast simulation of the water effect.
