Hello, this is Ali Green. And in this lesson, we're going to explore our shortcut keys to navigate our Visio environment. Now, if we're a big fan of using the keyboard, the shortcut keys will definitely come in handy for us. Let's get started. We're gonna come up to File at the top and come down to Open. Now, we're gonna navigate to our Visio Advanced folder. Let's click on Browse. And if we're in our Visio Advanced folder, we're gonna come over to our Learning Shortcuts for the Visio Environment, unless it open. And when we open, we have our candidate process for hiring the ideal candidate. On the left, we also have a readout of some shortcut keys that may be helpful. Now, couple of shortcut keys that actually may be helpful for us. If we wanted to zoom in, we're gonna click on a white part of our page. And a quick, easy way to zoom in would be to hold Alt and hit the F6 keyboard at the top. Now, here's the thing. We wanna make sure that our function key button is on. In order for this to work, we're gonna hold down Alt and hit F6 and we'll be able to zoom in. If we hold Shift and hold Alt and hit F6, we're gonna zoom out. And a quick, easy way for us to also zoom in and zoom out is to hold down Control. And with your mouse wheel, scroll up and scroll back. So very quick, easy way for us to scroll on our page. Also, if we wanna fit our pages to our window, we hold down Control and Shift and we hit W. And that's gonna fit all of our pages to our window. We're gonna hold down Control and hit our scroll button and come over to the left. If we wanted to open up a document that's already been created, we'll hold Control and we'll hit O as in octopus. And that will take us to open. We'll hit the back arrow and we can also hold down Control and hit S as in Sam to save our document. Now, if we select a shape and we accidentally color it and we wanna change our mind, we hold down Control and hit Z as in zebra. That's going to undo our color change. Now, we're gonna drag a selection over all of our shapes and we're gonna use our Alt key. The main three keys for modifying and for shortcuts are Control, Shift and Alt. We're gonna hold Alt or click on Alt. And when we click on Alt, you'll notice at the top, letters that will pop up and these letters will be shortcuts to our various functions and our ribbon. So if we hit H, that's gonna lead us to another set of letters. And if we wanted to change the font, our font is FF. We're gonna hit FF. We'll change the font. We'll hit the down arrows and we can quickly change the font. Select the font, press Enter. We'll hit Alt again, hit H. And if we wanted to change the font size, that's gonna be FS. Change the font size. Press Enter, hit Alt once again. Hit H, and if we wanted to change the color, that's gonna be FC. We'll use our arrow keys and we'll navigate through our colors and we'll change our font color. We'll press Enter. We'll hit Alt, hit H or home. And again, we have our keys. And if we work our way down to right of our keyboard, we have the I Key, which is for fill. We'll hit I. We'll get our font color. We'll use our arrows and we can navigate through our shape, color. Let's press Enter. We can also add effects, change the lines and change positioning. We're gonna hit Alt. And once again, that's gonna bring up our letters. We're gonna hit N as in Nancy and we can insert containers. We hit O and choose a container and put a container around our shapes. And press Enter. Now, there's a container around our shapes. We'll hit Alt. We'll hit N. That's gonna take us back to Insert and we can choose all of our keys here or all of our selections here by simply hitting the key that's been assigned. We'll hit Alt once again. We'll hit G. That'll take us through design and our themes. And if we hit H, we can use our arrows and navigate through our themes. And we'll choose a theme. We'll press Enter. We'll hold Alt. Hit the letter A. That will take us through our data. We'll hit Alt again. Hit P, that'll take us through our process. Alt once again, Review. And if we wanted to change our spelling, research the source and add comments, we can go there. We'll hit Alt. W will take us to the View and Q will take us to the Zoom. And within the Zoom, we can type in a zoom and we'll zoomed in very close. We'll hold down Control + Shift and W and we'll zoom out. And if we hit Alt, that will again give us our keys and our buttons. Let's hit H. That'll take us back to the beginning. So we've reviewed the keys that are the most helpful for us in Visio shortcut keys. We know that our three main modifier keys are Control, Shift and Alt. And we can use Alt to navigate our ribbon. We also have other shortcuts to navigate around our screen. Thank you guys for watching and I'll see you in the next lesson.
