Hello, this is Ali Green, and in this lesson, we're going to add colors to our shapes as well as to our texts. Color to our shapes will make our shapes pop and stand out a little bit more. Also, we can use colors in any sort of ranking or hierarchy system, or any sort of identification system. Let's get started. So we have our organization chart that we created in our last lesson. We're gonna use it here to help us with our shapes. So the simplest way to add color to a shape is just to simply select your shape, come on over to Home, and if you work your way over to the middle, we have our Shape Styles. We're gonna come over to Fill, hover over to Color, and change that color. So we've changed the color. We can also change the outline around our shape, and we can also add a little thickness to the line. So if we hover down to Weight, we're gonna make the line about 1 1/2 pt, and that's gonna give us an outline around that shape. You can also select the shape. add in effects, put the shadow behind our shape, and also put a glow behind that shape. Over on the left, we're gonna click on Jerri. And if we wanted to add just a quick style, we can click and apply Quick Style. We also wanna be able to change the the text. So let's click back on Adam, and we're going to increase the font size. Maybe, actually we'll go for 14. And we'll come down to our font color, click to dropdown and change the font color as well. And black is fine. And we'll also bold it, and we've just changed that bolding. Now let's say we like Adam's color, and we wanna quickly apply it to our other shapes. With Adam's selected, we'll come up to the top, and we'll work our way over to Format Painter. And the Format Painter will take the attributes from Adam and apply it to the other shape. So if we click on Format Painter, we're gonna click on Jill, and we can add the attributes of the color from this shape to this shape. Now the Format Painter turns off, so in order for it to be what we call a sticky key, we're gonna double click, and click on Susan. That Format Painter's gonna stay. Bill, Karen, Jennifer, and Dan. And we've just applied color to those shapes. So this is a way for us to apply color to our shapes, make our shapes stand out a little bit more, and also change the color of our texts.
