In today’s world, it’s important to be able to develop solid plans to help process and configure our ideas. It also helps to develop a graphical layout of the employees in our organization and how they relate to each other. This course on Microsoft Office 2021: Visio for Beginners demonstrates how Visio is the perfect application for visually expressing our ideas and charting out processes in an organized, systematic fashion.
The main purpose of Microsoft Visio is to visualize and process our ideas by creating workflows, organizational charts, room maps and layouts, and brainstorming drawings. These visualizations help to map out plans for achieving a desired result or outcome. Throughout this course you’ll get familiar with the Visio environment and learn how to navigate the ribbon and panes. You’ll also get acquainted with the Backstage View and some of the helpful templates Visio provides. We’ll also cover some of the new features included in the latest edition of Visio.
Later, you’ll learn to use the basic flowchart template to create a process drawing to easily organize a plan, process, or idea. We’ll go over how to build a layout that details the hiring process for a given job description, including each step determining whether or not a candidate is hired. You’ll also learn to create organizational charts to display a company’s hierarchy, including where each employee falls within the organization.
