In this lesson, we're going to look at the interface of Adobe Acrobat and explore some of the navigational features in this application. So as you can see, I'm currently on my Home tab. You know that it's my Home tab because on the top left-hand side, there's two tab titles. The first one is Home, which is located on the far left side and to the right of that, there's Tools. These are the two main tab settings within this application. Now, if we go all the way to the right-hand side, you'll notice that we have a search bar. This search bar allows us to search for specific files, recents, or tags that we might be looking for. And if we go right to that, you'll notice that we have this Provide Feedback icon. If we click on this Provide Feedback icon, you will notice that we have the option to leave feedback for Adobe. It also gives us this warning that it's a third party setting, and so that we'll be going to that page that's not operated by Adobe when that occurs. To simply get out of this option, we can use the Cancel button which is located at the bottom right-hand side of the pop-out window. Now let's go one more to the right, and we're going to look at this tutorial icon. Now this question mark icon allows us to seek tutorials that are located on the web through Adobe for further information or strategies on how to do or use specific tools within this application. Now let's go one more to the right, and you'll notice that we have a notification option. This bell to the right of the question mark indicates that we have the option to view notifications. This is helpful if you're editing a document with another person or have multiple recent PDFs where notifications are necessary. And one more to the right, which we're already familiar with is the Profile bubble. The profile bubble allows us to access our preferences and our sign out option. To get out of this pop-out window, we can simply click out of it and you'll notice that it disappears. Now, let's go up to the top navigational bar to the additional dropdown menus, and let's go ahead and take a look at some of these. Now, keep in mind, I am using a Mac iOS system for operation of this application. If you are using a Windows or a PC or another device, your layout and your options and your navigation may appear different than what is seen here. Now, let's go ahead and click on our first option, which is located on the top left-hand side, Adobe Acrobat. This gives us the option to adjust our preferences, view our services, or quit the application, or learn more about Adobe Acrobat. Now let's go one more to the right and look at the File button. The File button allows us to access other files, export, request signatures, or revert and create different properties and print files for different documents or applications that we might be working in pertaining to a page of a PDF or a document. Now let's go one more to the right and look at the Edit option. The Edit option allows us to initiate certain tools, including taking a snapshot, checking spelling, doing an advanced search or applying protection. We also have the option to manage tools, manage our protection and use of special characters. Now, one more to the right, let's look at the View option. The View option allows us to rotate, zoom or use different tools that relate to our perspective and our view within the application. We also have the option to adjust our display theme and also to do a read aloud option. Now let's go one more to the right. The Sign option gives us the ability to fill and sign, request signatures, to prepare an agreement or manage all agreements. This option allows us to manage our tools and our program specifically for documents that require fill and sign or requesting signature options. Now let's look at Window, one more to the right. The Window option gives us the ability to change the view settings that we currently see. We have the option to zoom, minimize, or even use a tile option as well. And the last one to the right, which is the Help option. This Help option allows us to search and ask for help pertaining to specific tools or use of this application. This has been some of the tools, the features, and the navigation of using Adobe Acrobat. As we dive deeper into this course, we're going to be looking at a lot of these tools in great detail, but for right now, it's just important that you understand how the interface of this application adjusts to some of the tools that you might need to locate.

This course will provide you with an introduction to the application, as well as teach you foundational skills and tools.
