In this video, we'll review the GA4 user interface and touch on some key areas you need to be aware of. So for ease of use, Google Analytics 4 is perhaps the easiest to understand of all the Google Analytics versions that I've ever seen as far as doing this. And I've been playing with Google Analytics about 12 years. So, you know, Google Analytics 4 is absolutely the simplest to understand and the simplest to actually go through and teach. So let's look at what some of these reports give us and we'll go through, additionally, some of these few tabs. So if we look at reporting snapshot, this replaces the homepage reports in Google Analytics, the universal analytics account. And it allows us to have all of this information here. And if I want to go to realtime reports, I can click here or I can go to realtime reports here. Like these are just the snapshot pieces, each of these reports. So we can get a brief overview as to how the account's doing just on this report snapshot. It's actually a really good, really useful report to look at and pretty efficient in what it gives and how it flows. So underneath the, if we go to realtime report, again, we could have went to the tab there in a realtime report, or we could have went to the tab here in realtime report. Actually is going to give us a lot lot more information than what we had in our old Google Analytics account. It's actually very, very good efficient, and actually gives us desktop mobile users, that kind of thing. So, a lot of the pieces that we would've had to click through multiple types to get in the old account, we have that and it's really easy and really accessible. And you actually see this across all these tabs, even when we get into our life cycle tabs, we're gonna see that data reporting is actually really clean and really easy to understand where everything is. Engagement reporting, we'll actually dive into that in a upcoming video as to all the various pieces that are in engagement. Because engagement is something that is not really new to reporting, but it is new as its own tab and kind of what it bunches together, such as average time on page, engagement users, all of these pieces here. Again, this was always part of Google Analytics reporting, but now it's got its own tab and it's much easier to actually get this data and look at it. Conversions now have been streamlined down as opposed to conversions across multiple tabs. We now have one conversion tab, and it's gonna get us all the information that we need as far as conversions. Let's see, what else do we need to kind of touch on here. Monetization for doing eCommerce purchases, if we're doing in-app purchases. Then demographics, a lot of our demographics used to be underneath subtypes and now it's broke out as its own individual tabs. And in technology to looking at what's our screen. You know, mobile devices are using what pieces? Are they using desktop tablets? Are website performing properly in Windows Macintosh computers? What's the conversion on that? And then, what web browsers and things. So again, all that is here and it's really easy and really neat. Here's my screen sizes, all the miscellaneous pieces that I may want. And then I can always click to tabs and expand and get more additional information from each of these. So it makes Google Analytics 4 as a whole, way more streamlined as an analytics platform. Now let's look at this. So, we've got this reporting here and then we have this tab here. That's reports, explore, advertising and configure reports. Okay, we're in reports currently, which gives us all of these tabs, our lifetime reports, everything here. And if we go to explore, and we'll get into what's in the explore tab in section two, module two, the Google Analytics advanced course. And we'll actually get into all these various templates and going to the template gallery and going through these in much more detail as opposed to trying to cover them here. But this is where explore, this is where we'll set our custom pathing, or custom funnels. Funnels are one of those things that I am very much a fan of, especially path exploration with the users. And it allows us to basically backtrack through how the users flowed through the website and what pages they clicked on and how they got to conversions and how they got to sell. So, we'll dig into that in module two of this course. But for right now, just know that that's where our user explore is, is here in this tab. Advertising is if we're doing paid search, if we're doing any of that here, it's going to give us a very quick overview as to what's driving conversions for us. Now, a quick note on advertising here in Google Analytics 4 is that you do need to go to admin tab and you will need to link your Google AdWords if you're using Google AdWords for marketing, you will need to link it here. If you're doing ads, the view per click ads on your websites, a Google Analytics is ads on the search engine. And then if you have a blog and you're doing ads on your blog, you need to connect AdSense. And then that will report to the advertising tab if you need any of these additional pieces. It'll go through and show you how to set those up as well. So that's under advertising, and then configure is how do I want my attribution model? What pieces do I want? What do they actually look like when I have conversions? What did I set those as? And we'll get into how to set these up in an upcoming video and how to make sure that we're tracking those. So that's been a brief overview of the GA4 platform as a whole looking at reports and then explore platform and where your advertising and conversions are. We also went over just briefly, the various subtypes within the reporting metrics in Google Analytics 4. I'll see you in the next video.
