In this video, we'll cover the basics of Google Workspace from initial setup to the first entry into your admin portal. In the next video, we'll dive deeper into how to log in once we've done all these initial steps. So this is Google Workspace Solutions. Actually there's a lot of tools here, but we have to start with the basics. So let's get started. We'll walk through this process. It's fairly simple and straightforward, but there's a few things you need to know, business name. We're going to build this for Evermore which is one of the websites that we've used quite a bit. So we put in Evermore Gardens. That's the name of our business here. Let's say we got two to nine employees, and we just go, next. Okay. So once we've put in our name and our email we can go ahead and click next. And it'll say do you have any domains that you would like to use? If you need a domain, you can go ahead and do that and purchase a domain. So if you haven't set up a website or you haven't done that, then that would be the step. We already have a domain. So we would put in our domain here and then we would click, next. Okay. So once we do put in our domain, we'll go in, and it'll give us this, and it'll be our domain modifier here. Okay. So once you get past that last screen in Google Workspace, you'll be presented with a menu like this. You'll put in your payment information and then you'll proceed over to the admin for the first time. Once you're in the admin portal, there's quite a bit we can do here. The most important things is your billing. This is where we'll modify our billing. If we need to do that, it's where we'll cancel our 14 day trial. Google offers a 14 day trial for Google Workspace. So there's no reason to not give that a try, but that's the billing section. Then you have your home and home is where we'll manage users, where we'll add additional emails. We can do that here. We can even add additional domains to our email list, and we can even add aliases. So we'll be getting into that in an upcoming video how to go through and attach all those aliases to various email accounts, especially if you're a work from home and you're doing multiple websites and you want all those to funnel into one particular box. We'll walk through how to do that in an upcoming video, but that's the basics. And once you get into here, we can manage domains. We can add domains. So when we added our example.com to our list, we don't necessarily need that domain. We can remove it, and we can add new domains here with manage domains. So that actually is very, very helpful. And a trick here when we get into this admin, this is your admin portal. You've got Dashboard, you've got directory. Most of this you won't use on a day to day basis. Even as an admin, I find that I rarely need anything other than users and domains and billing. Those are the two things that I really, really wanna look at that really matter with this Google Workspace. And then if we go down to reports, we can look at employee login, employee time that they've been using various apps. User reports, you can pull all of that from right here in Google Workplace so if you require your staff to log in to Google Workplace to conduct their business, you could actually track quite a bit of employee activity right here on this platform. Okay. So this has been the initial setup for Google Workspace going through purchase all the way through to your first Dashboard and how you get oriented with that Dashboard.
