Welcome to the course The Art of Motivation by Knowledge City. Motivation is an extremely important human relations skill. In this particular course, we will cover many concepts that relate to motivation, such as the behavior process. Why do people do the things that they do? The motivation process itself and what are the components that lead to motivation. And then we will combine the motivation process with the behavior process. We will also include some key motivational theories. There are thousands of theories, but we will only cover a couple of them that I think are very important. And we will be discussing burnout, peakout. Why does it happen? Why does a person burnout in their marriage or at work? My name is Robert Ash. I have been teaching college for about 40 years at Santa Ana College in Orange County and at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, California. I also taught a couple of years at Western Nevada College in Carson City, Nevada. I am really excited to present this information to you and I think you will really enjoy it.
