In this course, you will learn about the process of searching for employment and how to prepare for your search by having the proper tools in place and planning ahead of time. We review the importance of researching companies, professions, and how to line up your search with your career path. Finally, we will review the pathway and methods to target a successful employment search. My name is Michelle Jones. I have over 10 years of sales management, recruiting, and training experience. I currently own my own company called Appreciating You, in which I provide career training workshops. The career training workshops that I have trained first began in 2001 when, as a head hunter, I assisted entry-level to executive clients in obtaining employment and felt that the candidates that I was helping could benefit from all the insider tips that employers never tell you. I am also an instructional designer and design instructor-led and web-based training programs for a variety of different organizations. The course objectives for this particular course will be to review the process of searching for employment, execute proper employment search preparation, being able to identify how to research information for a successful employment job search, recognizing the pathway and available methods to search for employment. You should also then be able to list the various resume marketing tools available and then utilize a job search tracking sheet. Let's begin.
