In these lessons you learn about resources available to continuing growing your knowledge and involvement in SolidWorks. As a SolidWorks seat holder (a certified user of the program), you have inherent access to a number of different knowledge resources, technical support channels, 3D files, new downloads, and overall opportunities to utilize the program to its full extent. You will learn how to connect with your SolidWorks representative as well as where to look when troubleshooting issues on your own. You’ll also be introduced to a large 3D community where knowledge and 3D files are freely shared. This can be especially useful in expanding your knowledge of 3D programs beyond what’s in front of you.
Finally, you will learn about the SolidWorks certification examination library, including what it is; how to access it; and how to participate. We’ll go over some helpful tips and tricks to prepare for—and ultimately pass—these exams to showcase your knowledge and gain useful exposure to parts of the program you may not have known were there. With the knowledge you will have gained in this course, as well as the Beginner and Intermediate SolidWorks courses—and with a bit of review and practice—you should be ready to take and pass the following certification examinations: CSWP Mechanical Design; CSWPA Sheet Metal; CSWPA Weldments; CSWPA Drawing Tools; and CSWPA Surfacing. These will set you up to be eligible to take the CSWPE Mechanical Design, Expert Level certification.
