Hello. In this chapter, we're going to get you started using Revit. And in this lesson, we're going to talk about Revit versus Revit LT version. So, to do this, let's look at the comparison chart that can be found from the Revit help files. So this table compares the major features of Revit and the differences between Revit and Revit LT. So, as you can see here on the left is the Revit LT column, and on the right, is the architectural features of the full version of Revit. So, as I scroll down through here, these are the differences that you're going to see here. If you're using Revit LT, you won't have generative design or construction modeling only for parts and assemblies if you're using the LT version. You won't have slanted columns, truss reinforcements, and desig in-place elements, design adaptive components. And in the import features, you won't be able to import point clouds or set in rhino files. As far as images that you can import, you won't be able to use PDF files. But if you don't need to use PDF files, you can also just bring in images of those same files. Scrolling down a little bit further, you won't be able to export out to these formats shown here. And as we look further at the bottom columns here, Revit is mainly built for architectural designer to ease your transition into the the building information modeling. As it is focused on the individual user who doesn't need the advanced collaboration, so therefore, you won't have the work set and collaboration features that you'll have in the full version of Revit. So, with the full version of Revit, you can have multiple users in one model, with Revit LT, it's focused more for those who will be modeling in isolation. But fear not, using Revit LT, like we're going to use in this course, your models will still be fully compatible with the full version of Revit. So you can share models back and forth with anyone using the full version of Revit. And again, this course is to get you familiar with the basics of Revit so you should be able to use the full version of Revit or Revit LT, going forward. Thanks for watching this lesson.
