Welcome. My name is Marina Buriga. The webinar that I will be going over today is called Sustaining a Green Collar Career. So it's really about helping you transition into a green career that you're passionate about. So the objectives of the webinar, the first one is to help you figure out how you can successfully transition into a green career that promotes ecological, social, or economic sustainability. Another objective is to identify what careers and fields are out there in the environmental world, and also you'll be completing your own green self-assessment, which is helping you identify what you want to do, what kind of work environment you prefer to work in, what sector you want to work in, what is it about the green field that really excites you and makes you want to be a part of it. We will also be going over your skills, assessing your transferable skills, and maybe identifying some skills that you want to develop to make you more marketable for transferring into the environmental world. And then I will also be talking about networking. It's probably one of the best ways to get a job. So giving you some strategies on how to effectively network yourself into an environmental career. And then I will also be talking about job searching. I like to say job searching outside of the box and not the old traditional way where you apply online, but really being creative and using a networking approach to find that environmental career that you are passionate about. And then researching, doing your research in terms of what is it about this green career that you will be doing, the activities, the job outlook, the salary, and those sorts of things. And then at the end, you will also be doing your own customized career development plan where you will set some goals and get you on track in a focus manner to actually transition into that green career that you select.
