Course Description

In this Scheduling module, you will be introduced to a different type of view, Revit’s schedule view. After seeing how to create a schedule, you will learn how to modify and format your schedules. You will go on to create a room schedule and a key schedule. Finally, you will learn how to export any of your schedule views to separate files and how to also import schedule views into a Revit project.

Revit is a database, and you will learn how to report on the model elements you have added in your project. Most all views in Revit are graphic, displaying plan, section, or detail views of the building model. A schedule is just another type of view that reports model elements in a text-based table format. You will go through the exercise of creating a door schedule first. Next, you will learn how to modify the column display, appearance, filtering options, sorting, and formatting your schedule using the schedule properties. After that, you will generate a room and a key schedule and understand how these types of schedules have a slight difference from schedules created from other model elements. After you have created a few schedules, you will finish off these lessons by learning how to export those schedules to a separate file and then how to import schedules from other files into other Revit projects.

  • Schedules can be modified and formatted through schedule properties, controlling column display, appearance, filtering, sorting, and formatting.
  • Room schedules and key schedules differ slightly from schedules created from other model elements.
  • Schedule views can be exported to separate files and imported from other files into other Revit projects.
