Hello, my name is Alyssa Galgano, and in these lessons we're going to explore Adobe XD's interface. I will identify what each icon in the interface represents, show you how to create a new document, introduce each of the tools and what we can do with them, and I'm gonna share some tips and tricks along the way. We will begin in this lesson by going over XD's home screen. If you would like to follow along, please open up your Adobe XD software now. When you open this program for the first time, this is likely what you will see, a very clean screen that we're viewing here. Underneath the welcome to XD are two main sections, start a new document and explore the power of XD. If they were previously created documents, they would reside here in this section and be listed as recent files. To demonstrate what this is like, let's click on this first iPhone 13 art board preset. There's the iPhone 13 art board. And I could go to the home screen at any time by clicking on the home icon. It'll always be located up here, and you'll always be able to return to it when you are working within Adobe XD. Click on it now, and you can see that now that other section has been replaced by your recent files. It's untitled, still shows it going through. And this is really convenient. It's an easy way for you to access your recently worked on projects. The more files you have previously worked on, the more files that will show up there. You can see that this one is untitled. So here's a good time to tell you that it's really a good idea to save and name your projects with a name that will be easily identified to you at any future time so that if you choose to go back to them, you can easily find them. Let's explore the other icons in the left-hand sidebar. This learn icon will take you to Adobe XD's tutorial videos. Underneath the home and learn icons is really everything files related, and it even gives you the little files subheading. So your files are when you've created some documents, you'll be able to access a complete list of your projects by clicking on that. After you've teamed up with other people to work on projects, you'll be able to view a list of shared cloud documents in this shared with you section. Managed links will take you online to any files you have saved to Creative Cloud. If you deleted a document, you can find and restore it here in the deleted folder. You can also permanently delete any files located here. That concludes our introduction to the XD home screen. Thank you for watching.
