In this lesson, you will learn how to add and delete pages in Adobe InDesign. You can see over here on the right, I have my pages panel visible. If you don't see your pages panel, you can go up to the window menu to workspace and choose the advanced workspace. That will show you the pages panel up in the top right corner. In this document, I currently have four pages, but I would like to add additional pages to my document. There are a couple of different ways that you can add pages to documents in InDesign. The first is to go down here to the bottom of the pages panel and click on the create new page button. Now, you have to be careful when you click on the create new page button and make sure that you have the page selected that you want to add pages after. Currently, in my pages panel, I have page one selected, but if I want to add a page to the end of my document, I have to make sure I have page four selected. So I'm gonna double-click on page four and you can see right here, I do have a number four on that page, and I'm gonna click on the create new page button. As you can see, a page number five has been added to the end of our document. Now, if I only have one or two pages to add using this button down here at the bottom is easy enough, but say I had four or five more pages to add to my document. In that case, clicking on this button four or five times or even 10 times really can get kind of tedious. So up in the top right corner of your pages panel, in the panel menu, you can click on the panel menu and go right to the top to the insert pages option. So when we get the insert pages dialog box open, we do have the ability to choose how many pages we want. So say we're gonna do a 12-page document. I'm gonna add seven more pages and I can choose where I add those, if I want to add them before my page five, after my page five, or at the start or end of the document. I'm just gonna leave it at after page five because that's essentially the same as adding it to the end of the document. And we're gonna click on the OK button. So now in our pages panel, if we scroll down, we can see that we have 12 pages in our document. So that's how you can add pages to an InDesign file. Now, say with this document, we realized we really don't need 12 pages. We only need eight. Well, we can select that page 12 and click on the trash can icon at the bottom of the pages panel and this will delete that selected page. But again, clicking on this delete button, it's kinda similar to clicking on the create new button in that it takes a bunch of time in order to select and delete multiple pages. So what we can do is we can select our page number nine, we can hold down our Shift key and select page number 11. And then with those multiple pages selected, we can click on the trash can to delete those selected pages. So in this lesson, you learned how to add and delete pages from Adobe InDesign.
