In this Implementing cGMP Controls in Manufacturing Operations course, you’ll learn how regulated manufacturing facilities apply cGMP requirements to maintain controlled production systems. We’ll also examine regulatory oversight and the operational controls used to manage manufacturing activities. These systems help organizations demonstrate compliance with regulatory expectations. With this regulatory foundation in place, the course then examines how organizations implement operational controls that support compliant manufacturing systems.
We’ll examine how manufacturing compliance systems operate, presenting examples of production controls and documentation practices used in regulated environments. You’ll develop the ability to recognize how personnel responsibilities and facility controls maintain operational stability and build an understanding of how documentation supports regulatory verification. We’ll also explore regulatory oversight systems and deviation management practices to give you a complete understanding of cGMP manufacturing operations. By the end, you’ll understand how cGMP systems support controlled and compliant manufacturing operations.
Learning Objectives:
• Identify core requirements of cGMP manufacturing regulations
• Explain how regulatory oversight governs manufacturing compliance systems
• Analyze operational controls used to maintain stable manufacturing processes
• Evaluate deviation management and investigation procedures in regulated manufacturing
• Recognize documentation practices that demonstrate manufacturing compliance during inspections
The course covers how regulated manufacturing facilities apply cGMP requirements, including regulatory requirements and global regulators, quality and risk controls, compliance system components, personnel roles and training, facility equipment and environmental control, production controls, standard procedures and work instructions, material control and traceability, deviation identification and control, investigation and preventive actions, documentation and recordkeeping, compliance audits and monitoring, and inspection readiness.
You will build skills in Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), process control, and regulatory compliance, including the ability to recognize how personnel responsibilities and facility controls maintain operational stability and how documentation supports regulatory verification.
The course is organized as a series of lessons, from an introduction through regulatory requirements, operational controls, deviation management, documentation, and inspection readiness, with several "Test Your Knowledge" checks placed throughout.
Yes. The course includes lessons on deviation identification, deviation control procedures, and investigation and preventive actions, and explores deviation management practices as part of regulatory oversight in cGMP manufacturing operations.
