In this Managing and Optimizing Capital Structure course, you’ll understand how companies monitor, manage, and adjust their capital structure over time. We’ll also examine key capital structure metrics and internal oversight processes. This knowledge supports informed financing decisions as business and market conditions change. With this foundation in place, the course shifts from monitoring and oversight to tools and processes that support long-term capital decisions.
We’ll examine capital structure optimization, presenting analytical tools and planning processes used to manage credit risk and financing decisions. You’ll develop the ability to interpret credit risk signals and strengthen decision-making around debt sustainability. We’ll also address credit risk assessment models, market-based risk indicators, and governance review processes to give you a complete understanding of capital structure management and optimization. By the end of this course, you’ll evaluate whether a company’s capital structure remains aligned with its risk limits and operating plans.
