We’ll also cover the laws and regulations that govern gambling activities to give you an idea of why compliance and ethical conduct is important for running a casino.
You’ll learn how to communicate effectively with patrons, offering support and guidance to those who may be at risk. We’ll show you how collaborating with your fellow staff can create a consistent approach to responsible gambling. By the end of this course, you’ll be fully prepared to contribute to a safer and more enjoyable gambling environment.
It is designed for casino employees, covering responsible gambling for casino staff and how they can contribute to a safer and more enjoyable gambling environment.
It covers understanding problem gambling, the legal and regulatory framework, responsible gaming features and tools, harm reduction strategies, marketing and advertising, interacting with players, dealing with difficult customers or emergencies, recognizing vulnerable populations, self-exclusion programs and counseling resources, stress management for employees, responsible alcohol service, data protection and confidentiality, and monitoring and reporting suspected issues.
You will gain skills to recognize the signs of problem gambling, implement responsible gambling tools, promote responsible gambling to patrons, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with colleagues. Listed skills include gaming machines, regulatory compliance, and behavioural problems.
The course is organized into 18 lessons, beginning with an Introduction and ending with Evaluation and Feedback and a Conclusion.
