Hello, my name is Dimitria Crawford, and in this lesson we will review AWS billing support and information. Let's start by going to our search area and typing in billing. There are two areas that we are gonna look at here. One, we're gonna go to our billing dashboard and review some of the items you have available to help support you in managing your account billing. And then we'll take a look at AWS Billing Conductor and then we'll create a support case. So click on billing and let's go to our billing dashboard. Two of your main items that you're going to use from your billing dashboard are Cost and Usage Reports and Cost Explorer. If you click on Cost Explorer, this will allow us to actually generate custom views of our account. We're able to see our monthly spending for various services that we're using, and Costs and Usage Reports allows us to get a little bit more detail to where we can actually define reports and provide access to detailed data, which enables you to better analyze and understand your AWS costs. Now, if you'll type billing once again in the search area. This time click on AWS billing conductor. AWS Billing Conductor provides a simplified method for your billing practices. It allows you to customize your bill computation and to display your billing data in a way that is meaningful to your end users. So for example, let's say you are an accountant, and you have several different departments that you handle accounting for, but they don't understand the AWS language. And so you want a simple presentation that you can provide them that helps them to understand the breakdown of what they're paying for. In that case, you want to use AWS Billing Conductor to create billing groups and then create custom billing. So AWS Billing Conductor is another tool that we have available to us. Now, let's say you have an issue with your account. You were overcharged, or the bill was paid, but it's not reflecting on the account. What do you do? Well, if we go back to our search area, type in support. The first thing you'll see in the list of services is support, which you can use to contact AWS for both technical and account issues. Click on support. This will open the AWS Support Center. If you have an issue with your account or if there's a technical issue, the first thing you'll do is click on the orange button that says create case. Now, from here, we have to identify. is this an account and billing issue we're reporting? Or is it a technical issue? Now, depending on the type of support plan we have that will determine what type of service we have available to us. So if you're not sure what support plan you have, under where it says Hello, We're here to help you, you will see your account number. And then you'll see support plan, as you can see, the support plan is basic. We could change this plan and upgrade by clicking on change but for now we're gonna leave it as is. Where it says, how can we help? We're going to select account and billing. From there, we have to identify, okay what type of service? Is it a billing, an account management issue, an actual account itself issue? Well, let's say we have a billing issue and more categories are provided to where we can say, the category of my billing issue is that there's a payment issue. And from there, we can go with severity. There's not much there. But next we would click next step, additional information where you would actually provide more details of what the problem is and contact information after this. And then hit submit.
