Motivation is best cultivated in a positive environment, where employees know that their personal and professional needs are being met, and that they have a clear, focused direction for what they should be working on. But a culture like this doesn’t just pop up out of thin air; it needs to be cultivated. As a leader, much of this responsibility falls to you. If you can meet this challenge, you’ll foster a workplace culture where employees will feel comfortable and happy working.
In these lessons on Leading a Motivated Workplace Culture, you’ll learn how to lead a motivational workplace by creating a supportive environment, as well as how you can balance your authority with employees’ autonomy to provide them with opportunities to grow. Then you’ll see why it’s important to enforce respect as part of your workplace culture, link your company’s vision to its culture, and establish clear communication between yourself and your subordinates.
It is for leaders, since much of the responsibility for cultivating a motivated workplace culture falls to the leader, who learns to create a supportive environment and balance authority with employee autonomy.
It covers motivation, employee well-being, and workplace culture; balancing leadership authority with employee autonomy; enforcing a culture of respect; linking workplace culture to an organization's vision; and communicating clearly with employees.
The course develops skills in Collaborative Communications, Cultural Humility, Delegation Skills, Self-Motivation, and Stress Management.
It is organized into lessons covering motivation and workplace culture, leadership authority and autonomy, enforcing respect, linking culture to vision, and communicating clearly, followed by a Test Your Knowledge section.
You will be able to identify best practices for reducing workplace stress, explain the importance of employee autonomy, describe how task delegation increases engagement, explain how an organization's vision, mission, and goals improve culture, and identify best practices for communicating with employees.
