Hello, my name is Tequisha Strong, and in these lessons, you'll learn to manage e-commerce using QBO. You'll learn how to locate and add e-commerce applications, how to manually match individual and patch payouts, and how to customize your QBO dashboard for trends. Let's get started. To search for e-commerce applications, select apps from the left side panel menu. Your first option is apps. If you know the name of the e-commerce app you're looking for, you can type that name in the search bar. You can also select browse categories. Under manage sales, select e-commerce management. From here, you'll have a list of e-commerce applications that can be integrated with your QBO file. You have the option to filter them by ratings if you choose, and you can also create an additional search within this specific category of e-commerce management. Let's take a look at a couple of the apps for comparison and contrast. We'll start with WooCommerce Connector by Intuit. Similar to all of the other app options, you'll receive an overview of the app, details on pricing, reviews from other customers, a list of similar applications, and some frequently asked questions. Let's zoom in a little bit. You'll see with WooCommerce, you're able to set up workflows using the application. It allows you to select what information from the application can be integrated with QBO. You can map your payment methods, and you can also integrate your specific inventory items with QuickBooks Online. Next, we'll be pricing, customer reviews, a list of similar apps with similar features, and then some of the frequently asked questions related to the app. Let's pick another popular e-commerce app. Let's select Amazon. You'll see similar to WooCommerce. You're going to have the same options along the top. In some cases, the app may give you a video or like this one you'll have additional screenshots so you can compare and contrast the details and features with this app along with the other ones. Let's go back to our app list and take a look at Shopify. Recently, Shopify has replaced QuickBooks POS as the preferred e-commerce app for QuickBooks Online. You'll see the Shopify connector has a video along with additional screenshots to show you how it integrates with QBO. You'll see the pricing for this is free. It does have reviews from customers, a list of similar applications, and frequently asked questions. Let's head back to our main menu. We now have an actual e-commerce tab within the left side panel. These are specifically for applications that have been approved to seamlessly connect directly with QuickBooks Online. Now, there are two things to be mindful of. First, because this is a sample file, unfortunately, we cannot show you the details of how to connect your e-commerce app directly to QBO, nor show you examples of what it would look like once connected. The reason for this is because you would have to connect a live file with actual business data which would be inappropriate for a sample company or a lesson such as this. The second thing you should note is for the seamless connection with the sales channels where the e-commerce application will pull in the orders and payouts into these tabs that only works currently for these three e-commerce app providers, eBay, Amazon, and Shopify. You can watch a short video to see how it works, but overall, if you've used one of these applications and connected to your QBO file, you'll have one page that will bring in all of your orders along with all of your refunds, and you'll have a separate page which will list all of your payouts for you to match to your bank data. In the next lesson, you'll learn how to manually match e-commerce application data for sales channels outside of these three. Thanks for watching.
