Turn recruitment into a competition<\/h4>\n<p>Millennials will make up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.com\/insights\/2013\/08\/the-rise-of-the-millennial-workforce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">75 percent<\/a> of the workforce by 2030. So, you need to keep them in mind when plotting out your recruitment strategy. Figure out why they left,\u201d advises <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CaffeinatedKyle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyle<\/a> Elliott of Kyle Elliot Consulting. \u201cWas it a better opportunity or more money? And see what it would take for them to rejoin your\u00a0organization,\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis won&#8217;t work for all employees, but for those it does work for, it will save lots\u00a0of time, energy and training costs,\u201d he added. \u201cPlus, if they come back, it shows they truly care about your organization.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shrm.org\/resourcesandtools\/tools-and-samples\/toolkits\/pages\/recruitinginternallyandexternally.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Society for Human Resource Management<\/a>\u00a0(SHRM) notes that while some companies give rehires full seniority no matter how long they were gone, it\u2019s also common to give boomerangs a pre-set timeline for the full restoration of benefits.<\/p>\n<h4>5. Don\u2019t be shy about your values<\/h4>\n<p>According to the Group Reward and Engagement Director at Reward Gateway, Debra Corey, your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/forbeshumanresourcescouncil\/2018\/07\/31\/company-values-and-dna-the-differences-that-make-us-special\/#643eb2e557e7\">corporate values <\/a>need to be unique, connected to your business and prominent\u2014on your website, in your media, on your Glassdoor profile, embedded in your press releases, displayed in signage around your building, etc.<\/p>\n<p>But before you shout your corporate values from the rooftops, make sure they are authentic. Otherwise, you may just be spinning your wheels.
