Course Description: The purpose of this tutorial course is to introduce you to concepts in Intercultural Communication. The ability to competently communicate with people from different cultures has many advantageous and benefits. To employ these communication attributes, you will need to gain information and knowledge on effective cultural norms. We will discuss such topics as ‘micro cultures’ and ‘co-cultures’, dynamics in ‘group communication, and we will look at important concepts in intercultural communication. At the end of many of the chapters, will be ‘reflective exercises’, to assist in processing some of the information you will encounter.
